 MESSAGE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT

It is with great pride that I welcome you to the Posen-Robbins School District.  This website is designed to assist you with regard to school rules  and regulations, procedures, policies, and programs as well as other  important topics.  It is impossible to provide you with everything you always  wanted to know about the Posen-Robbins School District on this website.  I  suggest you use the contact names and numbers that are listed for  assistance if and when needed.  It is truly a privilege to be of service to you  and your family.  Please feel free to contact me or any staff member at anytime.  WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

I am proud to recognize the dedicated efforts of teachers, support staff and administrators engaging students in learning opportunities that when measured on state exams show continual progress.  This growth would not be possible without the commitment of teachers, administrators and support staff.  Additionally, family and community support greatly enhances learning.

The Posen-Robbins School District 143 ½ is a rich historical community which welcomes and embraces cultural diversity.  We recognize our task is to prepare our students to achieve the high standards needed to meet the challenges of tomorrow.  We celebrate the diversity of our community as well as our student population and we believe the Posen-Robbins School District is strengthened by its diversity.  Cultural events in the District are ongoing.  It is also our belief that all curricular areas are important for our students.  Therefore, while we stress Reading, Writing and Math, we work to infuse Art and Science, Social Studies and Physical Education in an effort to develop the whole child.

It is extremely important for our students to be engaged in extracurricular activities not only for educational development, but for physical, social, and/or emotional growth.  Engaged students are less likely to be involved in high risk behavior.

We are eager and excited to begin the new school year.  We hope you share in our enthusiasm to launch our students on the path to success.

On behalf of the Posen-Robbins Board of Education, the Administrators and staff, I welcome you to the Posen-Robbins School District for the 2011 - 2012 school year.
