Inclusion is a way of thinking and acting that allows every individual to feel accepted, valued and safe. Posen-Robbins School District 143.5 is committed to meeting the needs of all students and families through student services. The Student Services Department is an integral part of the total education program and includes school health staff, school psychologists, special education teachers, deans, speech and language pathologists, bilingual teachers, pre-kindergarten teachers, and school social workers. The Student Service Department at each school partners with parents, community, students and other educators to assist in creating an educational environment conducive to the academic, personal, social growth of all students.
Core values and beliefs include:
- All students can learn, in different ways and at different rates
- All students have individual abilities and needs.
- All students want to feel they belong and are valued.
- All students have the right to benefit from their education.
By working together, we strengthen our capacity to provide the foundation for a richer future for all students including those who have exceptional learning, social/emotional, behavioral, sensory, physical, cognitive/intellectual, communication, and academic needs.
Yours in Education,
Dr. Evisha Ford-Sills
